Glen MacRae, not long retired after 34 years as Building Services Manager at RRC, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 66 years. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of Glen’s life will be held at a later date. William (Bill) Frederick Kniskern passed away May 26, 2017. Bill taught at Red River College for 25 years as a Technical Communications Instructor. Bill had a big heart and was generous to a fault.

Taki (Takefume) Nishimura passed away May 26th. A superb instructor and Department Coordinator who was well-respected by both his peers and students, Taki taught literally hundreds of electrical students and apprentices in the Electrical Construction field for well over 30 years and was very proud of the quality of the program.
A donation to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation in his memory would be appreciated.
Tina Ostermann (née Katharina Peters) taught business administration courses at Red River college for over 30 years, establishing some lifelong friendships. She retired early for health reasons and went on dialysis shortly afterwards. She received a kidney transplant in 2010 and seven extra years because someone signed an organ donor card. |Richard passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, May 6. An instructor Electrical Department for many years, he was later appointed to the Coordinator and Chair positions before retiring in 2012.
