Meeting attendees enjoyed coffee and socializing at 9:30.
WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER
The speaker was Constable Andrea Lefort of the Winnipeg Police who spoke about Personal Safety. Andrea’s tips and information were interesting and informative.

Correction to last item under Member News: “Howard Engel mentioned Marshall McLuhan’s Citizens Hall of Fame Inductee Reception held in November, 2019.” (Ray Newman, Dale Watts)
BUSINESS ARISING
The revised Heritage Group Constitution will be presented in April.
As decided at last month’s meeting, a letter has been sent to Katrina Sklepowich, Alumni Engagement Officer regarding improving Alumni Membership.
REPORTS
Financial Report ( Alexis Reeves) The Endowment Fund stands at $121,300 and the Non Endowed at $2746.
Social Committee (Karen Wall)
The March luncheon is to be held at Feast (Cafe/Bistro) on Thursday, March 19 at ll:30 a.m. The address is 587 Ellice Avenue. Contact Karen Wall at kwall@mymts.net to confirm attendance.
The Final Outing is to be at a Hutterite Colony in May. Details to follow. Dorothy Derksen moved that a Nominating Committee be struck for the Heritage Group elections in April. A vice-chair is needed. Steven Lipischak seconded. Dorothy and Steve will determine vacancies and come up with candidates.
NEW BUSINESS
SPEAKERS: It was suggested that the person who contacts the speaker should introduce him or her.
Gord McBean to check with speaker (MB Buildings RRC emphasis) for September. Hopefullly, RRC presiident andk Katrina Sklepowich will agree to speak. Leslie will check with Chris Rutkowski on UFOs. Rose Marie Hess will contact the speaker for April 15.
MEMBER NEWS
Peter Elvers sends his regards to the Group. Ray Newman passed on greetings from Gary Polonski.
Sadly, Ken Hardy, who taught Teacher Ed for many years, has passed away.
Gord McBean, who is past president of the Manitoba Geneological Society, published an article in the Free Press last Sunday.
