BUSINESS ARISING

Motion to Alumni – a key issue is that we need to strengthen up the Alumni membership, as well as get the Alumni dinner up and running again for the future. The RRC alumni has many prominent people and there should be more engagement with many of these individuals. Dorothy and Leslie will be sending out a letter with these points to the new Alumni Engagement coordinator, Katrina Sklepowich, and cc’d to Darin Brecht, Interim President of RRC, and the Board of Governors.

Revisions to Constitution– More revisions were suggested by members. Leslie will do the revisions. The constitution will be presented with the revisions for approval at the AGM in April.

Gord Mackie talked about Richard Johns who was an instructor at RRC, and had an interesting career, as a machine worker in the Winnipeg Strike. You can also find more information about him at Urban Gallery at the Manitoba Museum.
