Our deepest condolences go out to family and friends of Phyllis Barich, who left us way too soon not long after having suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. Phyllis came to Red River in 2002 and assumed responsibility for operations at EDC in 2005. She was also the contact person for library services to our regional campuses, visiting them on a regular basis. Phyllis was a valued colleague and a staunch friend. She tirelessly promoted the value of libraries and the strength of her library team, building relationships designed to meet the needs of the College community. Her warmth and outgoing nature earned her a place in many hearts. She will be sorely missed. Under the circumstances, donations in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba would serve to honour her commitment to wanting to ensure a coordinated response to strokes, which does not now exist in Manitoba.
Mrs. Barich was a true friend and an inspiration to me. Her insights and love of life will be missed dearly. I will treasure our friendship forever. Kind Regards
