While cancer changes people, it doesn’t have to define them. The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is committed to making a difference in the lives of the nearly 1 in 2 Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. For the person who just heard the words, “you have cancer,” and for the people who love and care for them, they’re here to help.
They believe in the strength that comes from working together. That’s why they’re asking for your help. Their upcoming Daffodil Campaign relies on 700+ volunteers to make for a successful month-long event, creating awareness and fundraising for cancer research and support services in our community.
Volunteers are needed for:
- Wrapping daffodil bouquets
- Delivering daffodil bouquets
- Selling daffodil bouquets (in malls, grocery stores, etc.)
- Delivering daffodil pin boxes
- Delivering supplies to hospitals, retirement homes, etc. to sell daffodil flowers
